Well made boots but funny smell.

Ordered these in my regular size 9 and were too big. Exchanged for 8.5 and they are a little tight. I’m hoping they stretch because 9’s were really big. They have a very odd smell. Left my closet open in hopes it just goes away. I’ve had Stetson boots in the past and loved them.
